Ideal London Hotels near Hyde Park and Oxford Street

London has always been one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations and one of the main reasons for this is due to the fact that this sprawling metropolis has so much to offer; numerous famous sights and landmarks, world-class museums and galleries, great shopping, an excellent nightlife, and it is also home to a vast range range of events, concerts and exhibitions.

Thanks to the weakening of the country's currency (£/pound) over the last few months, the city has become even more appealing to tourists, especially from the US and the Eurozone. Once one of the most expensive cities in the world, London has become that little bit more accessible thanks to both the fall in sterling and the recession. Not only has accommodation become proportionally cheaper, but also eating out and shopping, as restaurateurs and retailers jostle to attract customers during the well-reported credit crunch.
